November 14th 2011

I just arrived back to town here in Bremerton, Wa. from Portland Oregon. My crew member Rafael and I entered a 2 on 2 bboy competition that eliminated us from the bracket in the semi-finals. During the time we were training for this event I began to realize that I haven't really pushed myself enough as a bboy competitively. I've always enjoyed entering with crew members, I like the team effort and also the bonding experience. As I was thinking about my dilemma I realized that the perfect time to motivate myself would be to enter a well known bboy competition called Sweet 16. Its held here in the northwest located in Seattle, Wa. Since this event won't happen until march and have to be selected to be part of the 16 dancers I thought to myself "WHY NOT!" I can qualify to be in the top 16 by entering a preliminary battle on december 3rd at The Takeover event.

MY CHANCE

I'm not sure where I stand as a bboy here in the NW... actually anywhere at all. I never got invited to do an exhibition or flown in to judge, I mean I did little events but never anything BIG BIG. I want to train everyday, work on my endurance and form, eat a lot and also burn a lot of calories. I may be entertaining on the floor but I'd like to get the recognition as a very challenging competitor around the scene. This blog will be my way to express my journey to sweet 16 2012.
